History
Croatia, is a country located in the northwestern part of the Balkan Peninsula. It is a small yet highly geographically diverse crescent-shaped country. Its capital is Zagreb, located in the north.
The People
Croatia is a multiethnic country with a Slavic Catholic majority and many minorities who enjoy equal rights under our constitution. Italians, Hungarians, Serbs, Albanians, are just some of the many peoples living in our beautiful country.
Spoken Languages
Croatia has three (!) Croatian languages: Štokavski (Shtokavian), Kajkavski (Kajkavian), and Čakavski (Chakavian). On top of that, Italian is spoken in Istria, where most people are bilingual.
