Welcome to the Drone Force
One of our core missions is the strengthening of STEM Youth, and drones and eSports are great ways to learn through play and practical applications.
We organize basic drone safety & flight training programs for ages 13-17. Our Summer 2023 workshops and flight events are in San Pedro, CA.
What Will I Learn in Drone Pilot Flight School?
What is the law?

The law says that every recreational pilot must be older than 13, registered with the FAA, and pass the FAA The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST).
The first step will be to register you all and get you certified on the first day of school.

The law also says that every drone must be registered with the FAA ($5) and display the registration number on the drone.
We will help you get your drones registered and print vinyl registrations, drone names, and fancy decals for you!
Every drone operating in controlled airspace (close to airports or in metro areas) must have a LAANC Remote ID.

Flight School
Safety for ourselves and others is our biggest responsibility as a pilot or copilot.
We will teach you all the essential and necessary safety procedures that will keep the hobby fun and safe.
We follow the American Model Aeronautics Association (AMA) safety rules and regulations.

We will teach you basic flight, flight maneuvers, negotiating obstacle courses, formation flight, flight automation & programming, and much more!

Operating a drone all alone is much easier than in a big and busy group. You will learn how to operate your drone in busy air traffic and how a flight deck is organized.
We will also teach you how to take care of your equipment and how to repair minor damage!

Wind and weather are some of the biggest factors in drone flight. We will explain you how it works.
We will also teach you how to automate your drones and make them do advanced flight operations!

The program is offered all summer, every second weekend in San Pedro, CA at the Croatian American Club and air fields in the area.
The program is free.
